Privacy

This page says what AgLand Profile collects when you use AgLand Profile, why, and who else sees it. We keep it to what the service needs.

What we collect

• Your plot and choices. The outline or location you draw, and the crops or animals you pick. A drawn plot can show where you live or farm, so we treat it as personal.
• Your email address. You enter it on Stripe's payment page. Stripe passes it to us so we can email your report link and the PDF. We use it only to deliver your report.
• Your order. That an order was paid or refunded, when, and its status. Your card details go to Stripe only. We never see or store them.
• Your connection. Your IP address is used briefly to stop abuse, such as bots ordering in bulk, and is not stored with your order. Separately, our hosting provider (Google Cloud) automatically logs IP addresses and the web addresses requested — including report links — for security and troubleshooting. These logs are kept for about 30 days under Google Cloud's standard settings, then deleted.

We do not use advertising trackers, and the site sets no cookies of its own. Stripe's payment page has its own. To protect the service from bots, the order page runs a short check from Cloudflare (Turnstile). Cloudflare receives your IP address and some browser details to tell people from bots, and may store or read data in your browser to do it.

Why we use it

To build and email your report, take payment and refund it when we should, answer your questions, and keep the service safe and running. We do not sell your information.

Who else receives it

• Stripe takes your payment and sends your receipt.
• DreamHost sends your report emails and hosts our support inbox. Google Cloud, in the United States, hosts the service and stores your order, report and account data on our behalf.
• Data providers. To build a report we send the coordinates of your plot (not your name or email) to public data services for weather, soil, terrain, land cover, water and hazards. They are listed on the sources page.
• Map tiles. The map on the plot tool loads images from OpenStreetMap, which sees your IP address and the area you are looking at.

Where your information is sent

Our service and the providers above are based in the United States, so your information is processed there even if you're ordering from somewhere else. Because a report is something you've specifically asked for and paid for, sending your information to the US to build and deliver it is necessary to fulfil your order.

How long we keep it

We keep your order and report in digital form for 365 days after you buy it, so your link keeps working and we can help you. After that, the report is no longer available online and its link stops working. We may keep our records of the order for longer, for accounting and to handle disputes. Save the PDF we email you if you want to keep the report, or order it again for current data. Cached source data behind your report is deleted automatically after 365 days. Short-lived counters we use to stop abuse expire automatically within hours. Ask us to delete your order and report at any time and we will — we aim to respond within 30 days.

Your choices

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. See the contact page. Depending on where you live, the law may give you further rights, and we will honor them.

Children

The service is for adults buying, managing or lending on land. It is not aimed at children.

Changes

If we change how we use your information, we will update this page and its date. If we add analytics, we will say so here first.
